History of Coleman Lanterns, Heaters, and Stoves

In the early 1900s, when electricity wasn’t plentiful, America needed a better and brighter way to light its homes and farms. Enter Coleman lamps and lanterns, Sunshine of the Night!

Join us at the Pompey Historical Society on Wednesday, March 20, at 7pm as presenter David Skeval, an avid Coleman collector and restorer, gives us a history lesson on the company’s lanterns, heaters, and stoves and the science behind their operation.

On display will be a number of examples of early Coleman products for the audience to browse and ask questions about.
